Two years ago today we were anticipating a major kitchen renovation that would transform one half of the first floor of our home. The planning was complete, the cabinets and appliances were ordered and we had signed a contract with Custom Fit Remodeling to handle all of the construction. We have enjoyed our new kitchen every single day since the project was completed and, believe it or not, we enjoyed the transformation as it was taking place as well.

Jim set a detailed schedule and went over every step with us prior to the start of demolition. While we were skeptical, this schedule was adhered to throughout the project. Jim planned for the renovation to take 7-8 weeks and we were using our new kitchen in about 9 weeks (and we added several tasks as the project unfolded). As part of our renovation we moved walls, made major changes to the outside walls, completely changed the plumbing and wiring and created two new rooms along with installing the new cabinets, counters and appliances. New doors were added and old ones moved. New windows were installed in new places and old windows were eliminated. We were impressed that progress was made almost every single day during the 8 weeks of construction and by the fact that the sub-contractors were carefully scheduled to allow the time line to be compressed.

As impressive as the job organization was, the reason that we love our kitchen two years later is that, simply put, Joe is a craftsman and Louie is well on his way to being one. We do not state this lightly. When problems presented themselves they would nod and say they would think about it and they would always come up with ingenious solutions. In particular, there was much thought put into how to create a new mantle that would fit with the new kitchen. Joe created the perfect mantle for the space. Their workmanship has withstood the test of time; the kitchen looks just as good today as it did the day the job was completed.

If there is a construction company in existence that combines the organizational skills and craftsmanship of Custom Fit we have not found it. In fact, we have had them complete a second project since the kitchen and we are currently working with them to plan a major master suite renovation to be done some time this year. We would recommend them without hesitation.
